No. 10 Michigan St. 65, Penn St. 54
Kalin Lucas scored 24 points in his return to the starting lineup and No. 10 Michigan State snapped a three-game losing streak with a 65-54 victory over beat Penn State on Saturday.
Darting through the lane to score and hitting off-balance jumpers, Lucas didn't look like he was hobbled by the heavily wrapped right ankle he sprained on Feb. 2. Lucas, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year missed one game, then came off the bench during a 76-64 loss a week later to No. 6 Purdue.
Durrell Summers and Delvon Roe scored all the points for the Spartans (20-6, 10-3 Big Ten) in a 13-0 second-half run to put the game out of reach after the Nittany Lions had taken a 46-44 lead with 12:24 left.
Talor Battle had 30 points on 7-of-11 shooting from 3-point range, but the Nittany Lions (8-16, 0-12).
