1981 - DePaul lost to No. 9 Saint Joseph's 49-48; Oregon State lost to No. 8 Kansas State 50-48.

1982 - DePaul lost to No. 8 Boston College 82-75.

1986 - St. John's lost to No. 8 Auburn 81-65.

1990 - Oklahoma lost to No. 8 North Carolina 79-77.

1992 - Kansas lost to No. 9 UTEP 66-60.

1994 - North Carolina lost to No. 9 Boston College 75-72.

1996 - Purdue lost to No. 8 Georgia 76-69.

1998 - Kansas lost to No. 8 Rhode Island 80-75.

2000 - Arizona lost to No. 8 Wisconsin 66-59; Stanford lost to No. 8 North Carolina 60-53.

2002 - Cincinnati lost to No. 8 UCLA 105-101, OT.
