Juan'ya Green scored 23 points, making all 12 of his free throws, as Niagara rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat Saint Peter's 59-53 on Friday night.
The Purple Eagles (13-17, 8-9 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) made up for abysmal 25.6 percent shooting (11 of 43) - including 19 percent in the second half (4 of 21) - by hitting 30 of 38 free throws.
Saint Peter's (5-24, 4-13) led 26-10 with 6:39 to go until halftime and still held a 38-28 advantage with 18:16 remaining. Niagara then rattled off 15 straight points, including eight by Antoine Mason, who finished with 16.
There were six lead changes and five ties from that point, with Yvon Raymond, who led Saint Peter's with 10 points, fouling out with 5:02 left.
Ameen Tanksley's two free throws put the Purple Eagles up 57-56 with 1:27 to go, then the Peacocks missed four 3-point attempts.
