Troy Gillenwater had 19 points and 10 rebounds Saturday night to lead New Mexico State to an 80-68 victory over Fresno State.

Hernst Laroche and Hamidu Rahman added 11 points each, and Tshilidzi Nephawe had 10 for the Aggies (8-9, 2-1 WAC), who shot 58 percent from the field and won for the sixth time in their last eight games.

Kevin Olekaibe, with 23 points, was the only player for Fresno State (7-7, 3-1) in double figures.

Rahman's three-point play capped a 14-4 run for the Aggies in the first 6:17 of the second half, putting them ahead 51-35. The Bulldogs, playing their third game in six days, pulled within 10 with 8:33 to play but shot 4 of 15 on 3-point attempts in the second half and 8 of 31 for the game.

New Mexico State outscored Fresno 15-3 in the last 5:43 of the first half for a 37-31 lead. The Aggies were 11 of 14 from the free-throw line during the run and 26 of 37 for the game.
