Alvin Abreu scored 18 points and Chandler Rhoads 17 as New Hampshire defeated Marist 73-56 on Saturday.

The Wildcats (4-4) dominated inside, outrebounding the Red Foxes 43-37 and outscoring them 40-28 in the paint.

Brian Benson had 14 points for New Hampshire, which ranked third in the America East Conference with 37.9 rebounds per game coming in.

The Red Foxes (4-6) scored 12 of the first 14 points to go up by 10 with 12:28 left in the first half. New Hampshire then used a 14-4 run to tie it at 16 on Rhoads' 3 with 8:45 left in the first half.

It then went back and forth, until New Hampshire scored six of the half's final seven points to go up 31-26 at halftime.

The Wildcats led the rest of the way, pushing their lead to as many as 25 points twice.

Devin Price paced Marist with 14 points.
