Bo Spencer and Brandon Richardson scored 15 points each and Nebraska held off Central Michigan 72-69 Tuesday night.

Spencer and Caleb Walker combined to score seven points late in the game after Central Michigan had cut an 11-point Cornhuskers lead to one. Trey Zeigler made two free throws with 5:02 remaining for the Chippewas to get them within 57-56.

Spencer drove for a basket, then Walker hit a free throw and a layup and Spencer made two more free throws to put Nebraska back in front 64-56 with 1:26 to go. The Huskers (8-3) made 8 of 10 free throws after that to hang on.

Zeigler led the Chippewas (5-7) with 20 points and eight assists, while Olivier Mbaigoto scored 15. Walker, Brandon Ubel and Toney McCray each scored 11 points for the Huskers.
