Neal's 2nd half lifts Lobos over Fullerton 67-59

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) Cullen Neal scored 21 of 23 points in the second half on Sunday night, helping New Mexico hang on against pesky Cal State Fullerton 67-59.

Neal hit two free throws with 3:37 remaining, and then fed Deshawn Delaney for a fast break, high-flying dunk, sparking an 11-2 run in which the Lobos (2-0) pulled away.

High Greenwood added 11 for New Mexico, nine of those coming in the first half, and Delaney had a five assists.

Moses Morgan made consecutive 3s to pull Fullerton within 54-52, but the Titans (0-2) got no closer. Morgan scored 21, hitting five 3-pointers, and Lanerryl Johnson added 14.

The Lobos got off to an 11-3 start and traded points with Fullerton the rest of the half. New Mexico pushed the lead to 45-32 in the second half before the Titans rallied to make it close.
