NC-Wilmington trips Charleston 57-55 in 2OT
WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) Ben Eblen's 3-pointer with 40 seconds left in the second overtime and Dylan Sherwood's free throws with a second left gave North Carolina-Wilmington a 57-55 win over College of Charleston on Saturday.
Eblen's only points of the day gave the Seahawks (9-21, 3-12 Colonial Athletic Association) their first lead since 2-0. The Cougars (14-15, 6-7) had a turnover, a missed shot and gave up an offensive rebound that allowed Eblen to score after taking a 55-51 lead.
There was no scoring in the first overtime with the teams combing for 10 misses and four turnovers.
UNCW missed 2 shots in the closing seconds or regulation but Shane Reybold corralled the second miss for a putback at the buzzer to tie the game at 51.
Reybod finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Nori Johnson had 15 points for Charleston with Willis Hall adding 10 points and 10 rebounds.
