Lawrence Smith scored 17 points, and was one of 14 players to score for North Carolina A&T in the Aggies' 108-55 rout of Johnson & Wales (N.C.) Wednesday night.

The Aggies (2-3) took a 52-22 lead at halftime after holding the Wildcats to just 6 of 32 from the field in the first half (18.8 percent). Things didn't improve for the Division III team after the break, as Johnson & Wales made just three more baskets, shooting 28.1 percent (9 of 32).

North Carolina A&T scored 28 points off 21 turnovers and outscored the Wildcats 68-16 in the paint and 30-2 on the fastbreak.

Nic Simpson added 12 points, Marc Hill 11 and Adrian Powell 10 for the Aggies, who won the battle of the boards 65-35.

North Carolina A&T led by as many as 55, 108-53, with 1:34 left.

Sydney Mitchell had 10 points for Johnson & Wales.
