N. Kentucky catches fire in 2nd half, tops Tiffin 83-71

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) Jalen Billups and Cole Murray combined to score 40 points as Northern Kentucky came from seven points down in the first half to knock off Division II Tiffin, 83-71 Tuesday night.

The Dragons took a 35-29 lead at the half, but were outscored in the second half, 54-34.

Billups scored 22 points, 19 in the second half, and Murray added 18 more, hitting 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, while Lavone Holland finished an assist shy of his first career triple-double with 10 points, a dozen rebounds and nine assists.

The Norse shot 61.5 percent from the field in the second half (16 for 26), including 4 of 7 (57.1 percent) from long range.

Tiffin got 20 points and seven rebounds from Khaleal McCormick, who was 7 of 17 from the floor and 3 of 5 from 3-point range.
