Devon Beitzel scored 18 points and led five Northern Colorado players in double figures in an 84-52 victory over Black Hills State on Saturday night.
Neal Kingman scored 14 points for the Bears (4-3). Chris Kaba added 13, and Elliott Lloyd and Emmanuel Addo contributed 12 apiece. Taylor Montgomery was the game's leading rebounder with 10.
Luke Enos scored 14 points to lead the NAIA Division II Yellow Jackets (10-2), who classified the game as an exhibition. Will John Johnson added 12 points.
The Bears held wide edges in shooting: 29 of 55 (52.7 percent) to 15 of 52 (28.8 percent) and 6 of 11 on 3-pointers (54.5 percent) to 5 of 20 (25.0 percent). They also outrebounded Black Hills State 42-26.
Northern Colorado, playing its only December home game this year, led 44-30 at halftime.
