Thomas Coleman scored 21 points to lead North Carolina A&T over North Carolina Central 72-67 on Monday night.

Coleman, who is fourth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with 16.6 points per game, was 9 of 10 from the field and added three free throws against the Eagles.

The Aggies (13-15, 8-6) scored 21 points off 18 turnovers and outscored North Carolina Central in the paint, 38-18.

Adrian Powell scored 13 points and Marc Hill added 10 for North Carolina A&T, which won for the third time in four games.

North Carolina Central (13-13, 8-4) was led by Nick Chasten with 24 points and C.J. Wilkerson with 20. The pair combined to go 9 of 9 from the free-throw line, making all of the Eagles' attempts.

Landon Clement chipped in 17 points, going 5 of 15 from 3-point range, for North Carolina Central.
