Ed Jones scored 25 points and North Carolina A&T defeated South Carolina State 92-85 on Monday night. Jones led five Aggies (15-1, 8-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) in double figures as Tavarus Alston scored 17, Robert Johnson had 16, Thomas Coleman chipped in 13 and Nicholas Wilson added 11. North Carolina A&T shot 50 percent from the field (33-for-66) for its seventh straight victory. South Carolina State (13-13, 8-6) had five players score in double figures, as it had a three-game winning streak snapped and lost for just the second time in nine games. Jason Flagler paced the Bulldogs with 22 points and Jason Johnson finished with 20. Josh Jackson and Westley Telfare added 12 each, and Carrio Bennett scored 11 for South Carolina State. The Aggies avenged a 71-53 loss to the Bulldogs at South Carolina State on Jan. 26.
