Paul Crosby hit a 3-point basket with six seconds left to give Mississippi Valley State a 60-58 victory over Prairie View A&M Saturday night in a Southwestern Athletic Conference thriller.

Crosby's game-winner kept the Delta Devils unbeaten in SWAC play at 14-0. They are 15-11 overall. His third trey of the night dashed Prairie View's upset hopes and left the Panthers 7-6 in SWAC play, 11-15 overall.

Crosby dominated the game with a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double. He was the only Delta Devil in double figures. Teammates Terrence Joyner and Brent Arrington scored nine each, with Kevin Burwell and Luka Pajkovic adding eight apiece. Amos Sturdivant took nine rebounds.

Jules Montgomery led Prairie View with 12 points, with Ronald Wright and Jourdan DeMuynck adding 11 apiece.

Mississippi Valley State had the edge in 3-point shooting, hitting 7 of 29 treys while the Panthers were just 3 for 11.
