Murray State beats Tennessee Tech 92-53

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) Jeffrey Moss scored 25 of his career-high 31 points in the first half Thursday and Murray State beat Tennessee Tech 92-53.

Moss was 10 of 12 from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range, to outscore Tennessee Tech by himself in the first half as the Racers took a 55-23 advantage.

Murray State (11-8, 6-1 Ohio Valley) jumped to a 43-15 lead with 4 minutes left in the first half and took its biggest lead at 85-43 on Dexter Fields' 3-pointer with 5:43 left.

T.J. Sapp added 13 points, Jarvis Williams scored 12, and Fields and Cameron Payne chipped in 11 apiece in a game that was moved to a 3 p.m. tipoff due to a potential electrical outage from the extreme cold weather in the area.

Dwan Caldwell led the Golden Eagles (10-11, 3-3) with 14 points and Jeremiah Samarrippas added 11.
