Isaiah Canaan and Donte Poole scored 12 points each to lead a balanced attack as Murray State won its 21st straight home game with an 84-70 win over Reinhardt on Saturday night.

The Racers (2-1) won their first-ever meeting with the Eagles (2-5), an NAIA school, as 11 players scored and only Canaan played more than 25 minutes.

Murray State opened with a 14-2 run and led by as many as 20 in building a 45-30 halftime lead. The Racers made 18 of 29 field goal attempts and forced 10 turnovers in the half.

Carrlos Lyles led the Eagles with 22 points, scoring 12 in the first half on 5-of-6 shooting. Tyler Blackwell had 17 points, David Lawson had 15 and Gabe Hobbs scored 10 for the Eagles.

Reinhardt opened the second half with a 4-0 run and pulled within nine, 49-40, with 15:51 left. The Racers went on a 12-4 run to rebuild their lead to 20, 71-51, with 7:37 to play.
