Donte Poole finished with 22 points, helping Murray State hang on to a 70-67 win over San Francisco on Friday in the third round of the Great Alaska Shootout.

The Racers (6-0) led the whole way, including by as many as 14 points late in the first half. They advanced to Saturday's championship against Southern Mississippi.

But the Dons (5-2) mounted a comeback after the break, outscoring Murray State 48-40 and pulling within a point four times in the final 1:12.

San Francisco never closed the gap, however, in part because the Racers' Jewuan Long sank four free throws in the final 11 seconds.

Rashad Green led the Dons with a game-high 23 points, shooting 7 for 10 from the field and 8 for 10 from the free-throw line. Cody Doolin added 18 points and Michael Williams 10 for San Francisco.
