Much has 7 3s, 21 points as Iona blows past Marist 98-64 (Feb 04, 2018)

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) Deyshonee Much scored 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the 3-point line and Iona took control early and cruised to a 98-64 win over Marist on Sunday.

E.J. Crawford hit 4 of 7 treys and scored 18 points for the Gaels (15-9, 9-3 Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference), who made 15 of 28 3s and shot 54 percent overall (36 of 67).

David Knudsen got the first basket for Marist (5-19, 3-9) before Crawford answered with a 3 and Much followed with two more. Shortly after that Crawford's two free throws started a 15-0 run he capped with a dunk for a 26-9 lead.

Brian Parker, who scored 20 points for Marist, ended that run with a 3 but Iona immediately went on a 16-3 run. The Gaels made seven straight shots and 13 of 15 on the way to a 55-30 halftime lead. They were 11 of 18 from distance.
