Morgan's 33 lead Cornell over Harvard 77-65

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Matt Morgan had 19 of his career-high 33 points in the second half and Cornell ended with the last 13 points to beat Harvard 77-65 on Friday night.

Morgan had back-to-back 3-pointers around Zena Edosomwan's dunk that capped Harvard's scoring with 3:38 left. Morgan's second 3 made it 67-65 and Cornell (8-9, 1-2 Ivy League) scored 10 more as the Crimson (9-10, 1-2) missed their last seven shots.

Morgan, a freshman, scored 29.3 points per game in his first three Ivy League games after averaging 14.9 during the nonconference schedule.

Darryl Smith added 12 points for the Big Red, who made 10 3-pointers and 19 of 24 from the foul line. Harvard outrebounded Cornell 51-34 but made only 6 of 17 free throws.

Edosomwan led Harvard with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Tommy McCarthy had 16 points, six rebounds and eight assists and Corey Johnson added 15 points.
