Morgan State shuts down Md-Eastern Shore 88-72

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) Justin Black scored 24 points, Ian Chiles 20 and Cedric Blossom 20 as Morgan State defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 88-72 on Monday.

The Bears (10-13, 8-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 59.6 percent despite going 2 of 14 from 3-point range. Chiles was 11 of 13 and Blossom 7 for 9. They also went 18 for 21 from the free throw line with Black perfect on nine.

Troy Snyder led the Hawks (4-19, 2-9) with 21 points and Luis Bell added 12.

With a 21-17 lead midway through the first half, Morgan State reeled off 19 straight points with Chiles and Blossom combining for the first 17. The Bears led 42-22 at the half as Chiles had 16 points.

Blossom grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bears had a 40-28 advantage on the boards. Chiles also blocked three shots.
