Morgan leads No. 16 Baylor over Midwestern State

J'mison Morgan had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and teamed with Quincy Acy and Fred Ellis on several key plays down the stretch as No. 16 Baylor rallied to beat Midwestern State 68-59 on Thursday night in its exhibition opener.

Morgan, Acy and Ellis combined to score 14 of the Bears' final 17 points, taking control of a game that produced 10 ties and 11 lead changes.

Ellis, who finished with 10 points and six rebounds, scored on a feed from Acy with 8:17 left to give Baylor the lead for good, 53-52, then added two more baskets and a key offensive rebound on a missed free throw that Morgan turned into a layup. Acy, who had 12 points, added a basket and went 4 for 4 from the free throw line in the final minutes.
