Miles' career night leads Saint Joseph's past Buffalo, 89-67
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Isaiah Miles equaled career highs by scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds and Saint Joseph's rode a hot first half to take an 89-67 win over Buffalo in the second game of the 2015 Hall of Fame Tip-Off Wednesday night.
The Hawks (3-0) staked Buffalo to a 3-0 lead, then ran off a 19-2 run to seize control of the game. By intermission Saint Joe's held an 18-point lead, 46-28.
Miles was 7 of 11 from the field and knocked down 2 of 5 shots from deep. He was a perfect 8 from the line and pulled down 10 of his 14 rebounds off the defensive glass.
James Demery had 13 points and Shavar Newkirk added 12 for the Hawks.
Blake Hamilton came off the Buffalo bench to score 14 points to lead the Bulls (1-2). Lamonte Bearden added 13 points.
