Middle Tennessee outscored SIU-Edwardsville 14-5 in overtime to win 73-64 Saturday night.
The Blue Raiders (4-4) made 10 of 15 free throws to seal the team's first overtime victory since 2008 (89-80 over North Texas).
Sophomore Jason Jones led Middle Tennessee with 21 points, the first time that he has scored 20 points or more in his college career.
Nikola Bundalo led the Cougars (1-8) with 17 points and seven rebounds.
James Washington added 15 points and JT Sulton contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds for Middle Tennessee. It was Sulton's first-ever double-double.
