LaRon Dendy and J.T. Fulton scored 14 points apiece as Middle Tennessee defeated South Alabama 68-47 victory Saturday night in a Sun Belt game.

Up 28-22 at halftime, the Blue Raiders (19-2, 8-0) outscored the Jaguars (10-8, 2-5) 40-25 in the second half. Jason Jones came off the bench to join Dendy and Fulton in double figures with 11 points.

Mychal Ammons was the only Jaguar in double figures. He scored 13 points but was just 5 for 14 from the field, making two 3-pointers. That was indicative of the Jaguars' shooting woes.

They were just 15 for 57 (26.3 percent) from the floor while Middle Tennessee hit 49.1 percent (28 of 57). Each team hit just three 3-pointers, but while South Alabama was going 14 for 27 from the foul line, Middle Tennessee sank 9 of 13. The Blue Raiders also had 21 assists, seven by Marcus Knight.
