Michigan State forward Draymond Green left Tuesday night's 42-41 loss at Illinois with what appeared to be a left knee injury.

Tom Izzo, the coach of the ninth-ranked Spartans, said after the game he wasn't sure yet exactly how seriously Green was injured.

Green went down on a play with 3:54 left in the game and didn't return. He was helped off the court and the hobbled on one leg through the postgame handshake line.

Green left with five points and eight rebounds. He spent much of the game on the bench in foul trouble and had four when he was injured.

Izzo said Green played the game after being ''sicker than a dog'' with the flu.
