Memphis rolls UCF, 99-79

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Shaq Goodwin and Nick King each scored 16 points off the bench, with Goodwin adding 10 rebounds, to lead Memphis to a 99-79 victory over UCF on Saturday.

Markel Crawford finished with 13 points for the Tigers (11-6, 4-2 American Conference), and Calvin Godfrey had 12 points and seven rebounds. Overall, five Tigers finished in double figures and all 11 who saw action scored.

UCF (9-8, 2-4 American), which ranks last in the American Conference in defense and rebounding, struggled for much of the game, allowing Memphis to shoot 51.4 percent from the field while losing the rebounding battle by 29.

The Tigers led 39-28 at the half, eventually pushing their lead to as many as 24.

Daiquan Walker led UCF with season high 18 points.

The game was the 18th meeting all-time between the two schools, of which Memphis has won 17.
