Patrick Richard scored 21 points and had five steals as McNeese State remained unbeaten at home with an 84-66 victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God on Monday night.

Dontae Cannon scored 10 points and P.J. Alawoya had 13 rebounds for the Cowboys (6-3), whose six wins have come at home and their three losses on the road.

Ronald Horne, Nathaniel Ward and Ryan Russ all scored 15 points for the Lions, an NAIA team, who led 14-13 after Horne's jumper with 9:36 left in the first half. McNeese State then went on a 17-5 run to lead 30-19.

It was 37-28 at halftime, and the Cowboys widened their lead to as many as 20 points in the second half. All 13 of their players got into the game.

McNeese State took advantage of a big edge in turnovers. The Lions committed 26 to just eight by the Cowboys.
