LOS ANGELES (AP) Max Good is out as coach of Loyola Marymount's men's basketball team after six seasons.
Athletic director William Husak said Tuesday that Good's contract had expired and wouldn't be renewed for next season. The Lions' season ended with an 85-74 loss to BYU in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference tournament last weekend. They were 13-19 and 4-14 in league play this season.
Good had a record of 77-117 overall at LMU, and a 27-65 mark in WCC games. He is 319-340 in 22 years as a head coach.
He took over on Jan. 12, 2009, coaching 28 of the Lions' 31 games that season while filling in for then-coach Bill Bayno, who took a leave of absence before resigning for health reasons.
