Michael Alvarado, George Beamon and Rhamel Brown scored 12 points apiece to lead Manhattan past Marist 61-44 on Friday night for the Jaspers' fourth consecutive win.

The Red Foxes led for nearly the entire first half, staying ahead 23-21 with 7:33 to play after Manny Thomas hit a 3-pointer. But Donovan Kates scored seven straight points, his entire total for the night, on a free throw and back-to-back 3s to spark a 12-3 Manhattan run into the locker room.

The Jaspers (13-7, 6-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led the rest of the way, holding the Red Foxes to just 18 points in the second half while they tallied 28 to clinch the win.

Manhattan outshot Marist from the floor 45.1 percent (23 of 51) to just a 24.1 mark (13 of 54).

Chavaughn Lewis scored 11 points to lead Marist (7-12, 2-6), which has lost a season-high five straight contests.
