Loyola (Md.) hands Holy Cross fourth-straight loss 78-63

BALTIMORE (AP) Andre Walker scored 15 points to lead a balanced Loyola (Md.) attack in a 78-63 victory over Holy Cross Wednesday night.

After leading 33-23 at halftime, Franz Rassman scored the Greyhounds' first eight points of the second half for a 41-28 lead. Loyola shot 70 percent from the field during the first eight minutes of the second half to build a 53-35 advantage.

Rassman finished with 13 points and Tyler Hubbard added 11 for Loyola (9-19, 8-9 Patriot League). Walker and Hubbard each made three 3-pointers as the Greyhounds hit 9 of 22.

Karl Charles scored 15 for Holy Cross (10-18, 5-12), which was just 4 of 17 from distance and has lost four straight.

The Crusaders went on a late 9-2 run but still trailed 68-56 with just under four minutes remaining. Then Walker and Chancellor Barnard made four straight free throws for a 16-point lead.
