Louisiana-Lafayette tops Louisiana-Monroe 83-76

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Marcus Stroman scored 22 points as Louisiana-Lafayette topped Louisiana-Monroe 83-76 on Saturday night. Jakeenan Gant added 20 points for the Ragin' Cajuns. Gant also had eight rebounds and four blocks for the Ragin' Cajuns.

P.J. Hardy had 10 points for Louisiana-Lafayette (15-10, 6-6 Sun Belt Conference). Justin Miller added 12 rebounds.

Daishon Smith had 25 points for the Warhawks (13-11, 6-6). Travis Munnings added 16 points and nine rebounds. JD Williams had 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Ragin' Cajuns evened the season series against the Warhawks with the win. Louisiana-Monroe defeated Louisiana-Lafayette 99-95 on Jan. 19. Louisiana-Lafayette plays Texas-Arlington on the road on Thursday. Louisiana-Monroe takes on Texas State on the road on Thursday.
