Travis Bureau scored 13 points off the bench and Louisiana-Lafayette held Arkansas State to two points in the final 4:45 to win 54-50 Saturday night, ending a two-game skid. The Ragin' Cajuns (9-16, 6-8 Sun Belt Conference) fell behind 18-8 with 4:58 left in the first half, then used a 12-4 run to trail 22-20 at halftime. With the Red Wolves (13-12, 5-9) ahead 48-43, Louisiana-Lafayette closed out the game with an 11-2 spurt, beginning with Jeremy Barr's three-point play with 4:24 left. Arkansas State got two free throws from Larry Handy at 4:12, then Barr spun through traffic for a one-handed slam at 3:51. Louisiana-Lafayette took the lead on Chris Gradnigo's 3-pointer with 3:13 left and Tyren Johnson had a key block for the Ragin' Cajuns. Donald Boone led Arkansas State, which has lost five straight, with 12 points and eight rebounds.
