Antwan Carter scored 20 points and Tristan Carey tallied a double-double, leading Longwood over South Carolina State 92-81 Friday night.
Carey scored 19 points and grabbed 10 boards for the Lancers (3-5), who were outrebounded 35-34 by South Carolina State but scored 28 points off 19 Bulldogs turnovers in the win.
Martiz Washington added 17 points, Jan van der Kooij 15 and Jeremiah Bowman 11 for Longwood, which has won the last two games in the series after dropping the first pair in the four games all-time between the teams.
The Bulldogs led 47-39 at the break and increased that lead to 13 points early in the second half, before Longwood mounted its comeback. A jumper by van der Kooij opened a 26-6 Longwood run and his 3-pointer closed it.
The Lancers led the rest of the way.
Brandon Riley scored a game-high 34 points to lead the Bulldogs (4-4).
