Jeremiah Bowman scored 22 points and Antwan Carter 20 as Longwood overcame a 38-point performance by Melquan Bolding to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson 87-83 Monday.

Bowman's 3-pointer with 2:20 remaining put the Lancers (7-12) ahead to stay, 79-76, and after a steal by Carter, Bowman's layup made it a five-point lead with 1:45 left.

The Knights (1-16), who have lost 14 straight, pulled within a point, 84-83, after a 3-pointer by Bolding and a dunk by George Goode, but Bolding turned the ball over with 4 seconds left and Tristan Carey put the game out of reach for Longwood with two free throws.

Longwood started the second half with a 9-0 run to lead 46-33 before the Knights rallied behind Bolding and Goode, who finished with 19 points.
