Adnan Hodzic had 33 points and 16 rebounds to lead Lipscomb to a 104-101 overtime win over Austin Peay on Thursday night in the first game between the schools since 1962.

Josh Slater, who scored 22 points for the Bisons (2-1), made a layup at the buzzer to tie the score at 87, forcing it into overtime.

Hodzic scored eight points in the extra period, including three straight layups to give Lipscomb a nine-point lead at 98-89 with 54 seconds to go.

The Governors (2-1) closed to 100-97 with 14 seconds left on a Tyshwan Edmondson layup, but Slater hit a pair of free throws.

Caleb Brown's layup again made it a three-point game with 6 seconds left, then Jordan Burgason hit two foul shots to finish with 19 points. Brown hit a jumper as time expired for the final margin.

Edmondson had 21 points and Anthony Campbell added 20 for Austin Peay, which leads the series 40-27.
