Antwan Burrus scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Liberty past Campbell 49-41 on Saturday night.

Burrus was 8 of 11 from the field and scored 11 of his points in the first half, helping the Flames (14-17, 9-9 Big South Conference) clinch the sixth seed and a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

Liberty held the Camels (17-14, 11-7) to 29.6-percent shooting (8 of 27), including 1 of 9 from 3-point range in the first half. The Flames led 22-17 at the break.

Trailing 41-31, Campbell used a 10-1 run to make it a one-point game on Lorne Merthie's 3-pointer with 1:41 remaining. Liberty would seal it with seven straight points, started on Tavares Sparks' 3 with 1:05 to go.

Darren White had 13 points and Merthie finished with 11 for Campbell, which finished shooting just 29 percent from the floor (18 of 62).
