Lee's 33 lifts Drexel over Northeastern, 65-60

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Damion Lee scored 33 points on 9-of-16 shooting to lead Drexel to a 65-60 win over Northeastern on Wednesday night.

Northeastern pulled within 55-51 with 47 seconds left, but Lee had an answer on Drexel's final five possessions, hitting 10 of 10 free throws to hold on.

Sammy Mojica added 10 points for Drexel (6-14, 4-5 Colonial) as the Dragons shot a just 38.6 percent from the field , including 5 of 18 (27.8) from 3-point range. Drexel was helped by 10 offensive rebounds and 14 Northeastern turnovers.

Drexel started the second half on an 11-3 run, which included a Lee 3-pointer, to pull within 33-30.

T.J. Williams had 16 points, Zach Stahl 14 and David Walker pitched in 10 points for Northeastern (14-8, 6-3).

Scott Eatherton scored all eight of his points in the first half to help Northeastern to a 10-point halftime lead.
