Late 3 lifts Toledo over Northern Kentucky 57-55

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) Julius Brown's 3-pointer from the corner with 0.7 seconds left completed a big second-half comeback and Toledo beat Northern Kentucky 57-55 on Saturday.

With 4.6 second left, J.D. Weatherspoon was fouled and made 1 of 2 from the line. The miss went out of bounds off Northern Kentucky, giving Toledo the ball with 3.2 seconds left for Brown's heroics.

Witherspoon finished with 18 points. Brown, who averages 16.2 points, had eight on 3-of-13 shooting.

Toledo (8-5) didn't score the first 3:23 of the second half and was down 17, but the Rockets used an 11-0 run midway through the half, then an 8-0 spurt late to get within one with 2:46 left.

Northern Kentucky (6-9) led 12-3 after 5 minutes as Toledo was 1 of 10 from the floor early. An 11-0 run by the Norse - including Tayler Persons' 3-pointer - gave them a 34-20 lead at the break. Persons ended with 11 points.
