Kansas coach Bill Self says freshman star Xavier Henry is ready to compete in the NBA if he decides to declare for this year's draft.
Self also says he expects junior center Cole Aldrich to decide in about a week whether he will enter the draft or stay for his senior season.
Henry, a 6-foot-6 guard, averaged 13.4 points for the Big 12 champion Jayhawks, the overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament before being ousted in the second round by Northern Iowa. Henry was always considered likely to be Self's first one-and-done player.
Aldrich, a 6-foot-11 all-conference center, averaged 11.3 points and almost 10 rebounds.
