Former Louisville guard Kevin Ware, who announced plans to transfer last month, made his decision official on Twitter on Saturday, tweeting simply: "GSU."
Ware, who gruesomely broke his right leg during the 2013 NCAA tournament, played in only nine games this past season after injuring the same leg. He reportedly was choosing between Auburn and Georgia State.
Heading to Georgia State gives him a chance to attend school in his hometown of Atlanta.
During the 2012-13 season, Ware averaged 4.5 points in 16.6 minutes of action. With Terry Rozier and Chris Jones returning next season, the Cardinals may not have had a starting spot available.
