Kansas State is without seniors Jake Pullen and Curtis Kelly Tuesday night against UNLV due to a secondary violation.

The pair was declared ineligible and will have to seek reinstatement due to receiving impermissible benefits on the purchase of clothing at a local department store.

Pullen will miss three games as a result of the ruling by the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement staff while it’s still unclear how long Kelly will remain out.

The 6-foot Pullen leads the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game while Kelly, who was suspended by head coach Frank Martin for the start of the season, is averaging 10.3 points per contest.

Kansas State entered Tuesday night’s game with a 9-2 record.

“These young men have worked hard to represent themselves and Kansas State in a positive manner,” Martin said. “Having said that, they made a mistake in judgment and have to pay a price for that decision.”
