Joesaar helps UTPA win 68-57, snap 4-game losing streak

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) Janari Joesaar scored 23 points and Texas-Pan American beat Seattle 68-57 on Saturday night to snap a four-game losing streak.

Joesaar was 5 of 9 from 3-point range and the Broncs were 7 of 14 from the arc. Shaquille Boga added 16 points and six assists, Shaquille Hines 12 points and Elijah Watson 10 points and seven assists for the Broncs (9-17, 3-7 Western Athletic Conference), who were 23 of 44 overall for 52.3 percent.

Jarell Flora scored 25 points for the Redhawks (11-13, 4-6) with Isiah Umipig adding 18. The Redhawks shot 40 percent and were only 6 of 21 from the field-throw line for 28.6 percent.

UTPA used a 7-2 run to end the first half for a 35-27 lead. The Broncs' lead reached 13 points with 7:35 remaining in the game and the Redhawks didn't get closer than seven after that.
