IUPUI takes down Omaha 88-76 for 8 Summit win

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) T.J. Henderson scored a career-high 16 points in 17 minutes off the bench, 12 in the first half, in an 88-76 win over Omaha on Wednesday night that snapped a three-game losing streak.

Marcellus Barksdale and Mason Archie II added 15 points each for the Jaguars (12-16, 8-5 Summit), in fourth place in the Summit League behind the Mavericks (17-11, 9-5). Omaha is two games back in the loss column to co-leaders South Dakota State and IPFW.

Omaha was within six with 8:25 left before the Jaguars, who led 42-27 at halftime, scored 10 straight points and kept the lead in double figures.

IUPUI shot 56 percent and outrebounded Omaha 43-27.

Omaha's Jake White scored 21 points. Tra-Deon Hollins, the nation's steals leader, had four more and tied the league's single-season record of 111.

The Jaguars' eight Summit wins are the most since 2010-11 when they finished 12-6 in conference play.
