IUPUI routs Urbana behind Combs' 28 point night

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Darell Combs hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points to help lead IUPUI to an easy 109-67 win over Division II Urbana on Monday night.

The win keeps IUPUI (4-7) perfect at home this season (3-0) and is the first time the Jaguars have reached the 100-point mark since Jan. 2014.

Six other Jaguars scored in double figures, led by Aaron Brennan's 13 points. Evan Hall finished with 12, Kellon Thomas and T.J. Henderson had 11, and Ron Patterson and Matt O'Leary each added 10.

Overall, IUPUI shot 63.8 percent and hit 17 3-pointers.

Dequan Abrom led Urbana with 20 points.

The Jaguars never trailed and led 18-5 a little over six minutes into the game. Two Hall free throws with three seconds left made it 58-35 at halftime. Urbana never mounted a serious challenge in the second, and a Henderson 3 pushed the IUPUI lead past 30 midway through.
