IUPUI downs IPFW 84-82 on Barksdale's layup

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) Darell Combs scored 20 points, Marcellus Barksdale added 13 and the winning layup with one second left and IUPUI beat IPFW 84-82 on Saturday night.

Trailing by 13 at halftime, IPFW rallied to a 74-69 lead on DeAngelo Stewart's back-to-back 3-pointers with 5:10 to play.

Jordan Pickett tied it at 77 with a layup and Nick Osborne's 3 put the Jaguars up 82-77 with 1:35 left, but IPFW's Michael Calder made a layup and free throw to pull the Mastadons within 82-80.

John Konchar's bucket for IPFW tied it at 82 with 22 seconds left, then Barksdale hit his layup.

Pickett scored 15 points and Matt O'Leary added 10 for the Jaguars (9-13, 5-2 Summit), who led 47-34 at halftime on 53 percent shooting.

Calder led the Mastadons (16-6, 5-2) with a career-high 20 and Max Landis and Stewart added 15 apiece.
