IUPUI blasts Anderson 101-68

Christian Siakam scored 21 points to lead four IUPUI players in double figures as the Jaguars rolled to an easy 101-68 victory over Anderson, Ind., in the season opener Friday night.

Alex Young had 20 points, Lyonell Gaines 14 and Ian Chiles 11 for IUPUI, playing its first game under new coach Todd Howard. Siakam also led the Jaguars with nine rebounds, six on the offensive glass.

IUPUI, which shot 54 percent from the field in the game, led 52-29 at halftime. The Jaguars never trailed in the game and led by as many as 38 points.

Phil Hogan led the Ravens with 22 points. Anderson is a Division III school.
