Diante Garrett scored 20 points, Melvin Ejim added 18 to go with 10 rebounds and Iowa State broke a two-game losing streak with an 85-58 victory over winless Southeast Missouri on Monday night.
Jake Anderson added 14 points and Scott Christopherson had 13 for the Cyclones (7-2), who led by 31 in the second half.
Anthony Allison scored 11 points to lead the Redhawks (0-9) .
Southeast Missouri kept the game close for more than 13 minutes before Iowa State took control with an 18-7 run that produced a 20-point lead.

The 6-foot-4 Garrett made his first four shots and consistently scored over shorter defenders while finishing 8 of 12 from the field, including three 3-pointers. He also had six assists and five rebounds.
