Freshman Devyn Marble scored a career-high 18 for the Hawkeyes (8-11, 1-6 Big Ten), who picked up their first league win by dominating a Hoosiers team playing without Verdell Jones III.
Jones, who has started 17 games this season and is averaging 12.9 points, is out indefinitely with inflammation in his right knee.
Iowa took advantage, opening with a 20-8 run and maintaining a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
The Hawkeyes shot 57.7 percent from the field, including 65 percent (15 of 23) in the second half.
Christian Watford had a career-high 30 points to lead the Hoosiers (10-10, 1-6), who fell back into a three-way tie with Iowa and Michigan for last place in the Big Ten.
