Verdell Jones scored 18 points, Christian Watford finished with 14 and Maurice Creek added 11 to help Indiana rout Savannah State 79-57 on Saturday.
The Hoosiers (7-1) have won all seven home games this season and extended their home winning streak to eight, dating to a victory over Northwestern in last season's regular-season finale.
Joshua Montgomery scored 15 points to pace Savannah State (1-9), but it wasn't nearly enough to avoid a ninth consecutive loss. Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Georgia Tech.
Saturday's game was every bit as lopsided as the score indicated too.
Jones added eight rebounds, the Hoosiers shot 55.3 percent and Indiana wasted no time in taking control.
Just three days after losing for the first time, the Hoosiers scored seven of the first 10 points and then used a 10-0 run to build a 22-12 lead midway through the first half.
Savannah State couldn't get closer than seven the rest of the half and trailed 44-28 at the break.
Things got even worse in the second half.
After the Tigers scored the first basket, Indiana went on an 8-0 run to open a 52-30 lead with 16:04 to go. The Hoosiers led by as many as 28, and Savannah State never got within single digits. It was the Tigers' largest losing margin all season.
The game also marked the return of referee Ted Valentine to Assembly Hall. Valentine had not officiated at Indiana since calling three technicals and ejecting coach Bob Knight on Feb. 24, 1998. Knight stormed off the court, walking the opposite direction he usually did, to face Valentine almost nose to nose.
There were no similar incidents this time, though fans did chant an obscenity after Valentine made a call midway through the second half.
Jordan Hulls had 11 points and Victor Oladipo nine for the Hoosiers - the second time this season that at least four Hoosiers reached double digits in a game.
Preston Blackmon scored 14 points for Savannah State, which shot just 32.7 percent in its first meeting with the Hoosiers.
