Christian Watford scored 17 points and Jordan Hulls added 15 as Indiana held off North Carolina Central 72-56 on Tuesday night.

The Hoosiers are off to their first 5-0 start since 2002-03.

Landon Clement had 17 points to pace the Eagles (1-3), who extended their road losing streak to 43. They haven't won on the road since beating Coppin State on Jan. 30, 2008, and are 0-4 all-time against Big Ten schools.

But it wasn't easy for Indiana.

The Eagles took a 20-19 lead midway through the first half and were within 27-24 with 3:09 left. But Indiana scored the final seven points to make it 34-24 at halftime - courtesy of Victor Oladipo's 60-foot buzzer-beating heave.

North Carolina Central closed to 38-35 early in the second half, but Indiana answered with an 11-0 run and the Eagles never again got closer than seven.
